here's the situation: about a week ago i started having a problem with my CD player (which had been slightly temperamental beforehand) where sometimes it would be fine and sometimes brand new CDs would skip uncontrollably. So i got one of those lens cleaner CDs with tiny little brushes, used it a couple of times, and everything seems fine. But now everything skips forward uncontrollably

Is this something which can be fixed? Anybody have any recommendations of products which could solve the issue? I REALLY don't want to have to buy a brand new system at this moment in time
