life changing gigs

ad_c [Edit] [Delete] 12:03, 23 April '08

are there any gigs you went to that completely changed your view of the merits of live musical performance? either positive or negative i suppose.

heres mine....

new bomb turks at the duchess of york in leeds - must have been early 1990's. i was late and got there just as they struck up, people were hanging from the ceiling. it wa snuts, and i really liked that band at the time. round about 'destroy oh boy' point.

helmet - manchester academy - early 90's again. the level of immense power was stupifying. made me realise that volume is a tool.

countless negative experiences, but none of them life changing as theyre usually eclipsed by the next positive.
