"Big" bands

Jesus_Quintana [Edit] [Delete] 03:11, 2 July '05
Not bands that play village fetes with brass sections, I mean BIG bands.

Whatever happened to decent bands that are big?

Often when I say "Coldplay are turd-wank" or something, someone will go "Indie snob! Just cos they're big"

"Well, no, that isn't why, I like Radiohead" I reply. But really, Radiohead are the only decent "big band" left at the moment.

In the past it seemed that bands managed to be huge, but still good - The Beatles, Hendrix, The Stones, The Kinks etc

These days, other than Radiohead and maybe Bjork (and possibly the White Stripes, but they aren't half as big as Radiohead), I can't think of anyone really. U2 - shite. Coldplay - shite.

I know shite music has always been around and has always been popular, but it seems like there was always a few really popular bands that were also good, but these days that's for some reason gone.

How queer
