Supersonic Festival disrupted by bastard terrorist

nice_squirrel [Edit] [Delete] 19:17, 10 July '05
I'm not sure if anyone has posted about this yet, so sorry if they have. I'm still seething about the fact the Supersonic Festival in Birmingham was disrupted by a cunting terrorist threat. Up until about 11.15 it was pretty much the best day of music of my entire life! Highlight of the festival was definitely Battles, who were amazing, but everyone else was soooo good as well - Dalek, Black Galaxy, Barbara Morgenstern and a man from To Rococco Rot (can't remember his name). At the climax of Brian Duffy and the Modified Toy Orchestra's set (unbelievable!) we all got herded outside, cancelling the next four hours of the festival, including Stuart Braithwate's DJ set and Merzbow. Obviously, it was important to make sure everyone in the city was safe - it was just so fucking unfortunate that it had to happen in the middle of such a brilliant and well organised event. Were any other DiSers there?
