As a spin-off from vamos' thread I just realised I'd appreciate some advice.

I'm increasingly coming to the conclusion my band are as much (perhaps more) a rock band than an indie but most of my contacts/places I've played/place I talk about music tend to be predominantly indie-orientated.

Whereabouts in London/the UK/the internet would I go to find rock promoters and see how playing to a rock crowd works out for us?

PS Apologies to anyone who dislikes my crass gentre distinctions and over-simplifications. I wouldn't ususally be this over-simple myself but hopefully you get what I mean (i.e. people who'd have grown up reading Kerrang rather than the NME).
