Right, I started this thread before and it somewhat bombed (unfairly in my opinion) so I thought I'd try again, cos I'm bored.

Basically it's a "list the first 5 songs that come up on shuffle" type thread but with the added catch that you have to review each song. Might be interesting for stuff you haven't listened to before/didn't realise you had. Also, NO CHEATING!

My contribution:

1. Buck 65 - Surrender to Strangeness

I've liked everything I've heard of Buck 65 so far, which isn't that much, but this isn't one of the best off the album I have. Bit ploddy and lacking a hook. 5/10

2. Mansun - Naked Twister

I downloaded this album on the advice of a friend. Again, liked what I've heard so far. This is pretty good. Nice outro. 7/10

3. Battles - DANCE

This is from the EP I haven't listened to so much. This is pretty awesome, and more on the crazy side of Battles. Very good 8/10

4. Black Sabbath - Electric Funeral

I really don't listen to the Sabbath as much as I should. There's quite a few overlooked tracks on "Paranoid", and this is one. Nice use of wah, good funky middle section. 8/10

5. Swell Maps - H.S. Art

Not bad. Nice, shambolic post-punk, or whatever you want to call it. 7/10

Hopefully this will be more of a success this time.
