Village People Policeman Arrested

THE VILLAGE PEOPLE’s VICTOR EDWARD WILLIS has been arrested after police allegedly found a gun and drugs in his convertible.
The singer – who, ironically, played the policeman character in the group - was taken into custody on Monday (July 18) after an officer stopped his Chevrolet Corvette.
Willis co-wrote some of The Village People’s best known tracks such as ’Y.M.C.A.’, ’In The Navy’, ’Macho Man’ and ’Go West’ before leaving the group in the late 1970’s.
The title is funnier than the story, but hey.
