Having read all the gushing hyperbole on the various MBV threads, I was struck by the amount of people who said:

"omgzzzz that was amazing it was so loud that my ears bled"

Now that doesn't really appeal to me.

I want to hear lyrics and stuff, not just fuzz and distortion - that bores the fuck out of me. Am I a freak?
