Only because Don't Speak by No Doubt came on the radio just now and it immediately reminded me of school and carefree times.

And then I thought about the music I like and what it is that makes me enjoy listening to it and a multitude of reasons came up. For example, I initially started to like Kings of Leon because I used to be crazy about this boy and they were his favourite band. And I really like All I Need by Radiohead because it sounded so amazing at their Victoria Park gig. And so on.

So...is it the actual music you like, or the memories, or the surroundings in which you first experienced said music? Or a combination?
