my boss has just acheived 20 years service with our hideously corporate indie-killing music conglomerate so it was arranged for her to have a meet and greet with Dolly Parton (she's a massive fan)at the O2 the other day.

Apparently it was meant to be her and Dolly and a couple of others but there ended up being 40 people lined up in between two tour buses. Dolly just walked up the line shaking hands and then it was all over. She wouldn't sign anything, wouldn't allow photography, and insisted on the lights being dimmed. and apparently if you shook her hand for too long and pair of bouncers would tell you to let go.

I always thought she was great until hearing about that...
