The Dead C. - "Vain, Erudite and Stupid: 1987-2005"

Panic [Edit] [Delete] 19:01, 9 July '08

pretty incredible. "Harsh 70s Reality" must be one of the most stomping loud records ever recorded, but this is better evidence of the Flying Nun label/Dunedin Sound of New Zealand.

they're pretty grim and minimalist but have song titles like "Tuba is Funny (Slight Return)" - and Thurston Moore has voluntarily complimented it so it must be somewhere near good.

i do wish Britain had live music shows like this ^ that played bands like The Dead C. on television.

i've completely lost the knack of writing about bands but REALLY they are good - listen maybe : )?
