Why you should never sign to a major label...

Matty_PARIS [Edit] [Delete] 16:19, 10 July '08

...especially if it's Columbia Records

I've just missed out on booking one of my favourite bands of the past decade

The fee was fine
The band really wanted to do the gig
The agent had heard great things about my gigs and was keen to confirm
The date worked as far as the tour route was concerned

...but the label didn't want to do it and therefore it didn't happen

I would write a letter of complaint to Columbia but I know it'll get pushed to one side

So I can do one of 2 things: 1) burn down their offices

or

2) get as many people as possible to avoid Columbia Records for their own sake

I'd prefer to just go for 2)

Has anyone else been fucked around like this?
