Anyone know of any dirt cheap mastering engineers?

Skip-Tracer [Edit] [Delete] 00:02, 17 July '08

my band are recording an EP, it's a pretty lo-fi thing because our equipment is shocking and all that, but i'm toying with the idea of getting it mastered by someone who vaguely knows what they're doing.

so... has anyone used anyone particularly cheap/ good? and by cheap i mean basically free. i don't even know what a reasonable rate for mastering an EP would be.

i could just read up on it and do it myself, but it seems like the whole process could look so simple that it becomes really difficult. it can't be that hard to get all the tracks at a decent level and stuff, but it must be since people blow a fortune on getting people to do it.

so, i don't know...
