How stupidly excellent is this Melvins album?

It's got me hooked after one listen. It's almost jazzy at times, and the washes of sound show how menacing most drone should be. And of course there's some riffmangling as expected. But everything on this album seems darker, more unexpected than their other stuff. You can see why Buzzo worked on Fantomas, there's that same restrained brutality.

Question: is the last track supposed to end in 20 minutes of silence? That's avant garde and a bit pissy.
