Unable to find a day the races thread I thought I'd better start one. Did anyone else go?

My 50 cents:

Johnny Foreigner: Completely insane! Beat even my high expectations. Very instense and great fun. Shame they were on so early - could've done with a few more songs.

Bearsuit: They were the most suprising act of the day. Listening to them on record I thought they'd be terrifyingly cool extremely tight and a bit intimidating. Instead they were gangly, shambolic and the front man looked like a 12 year old who was uncomfortable in his own skin. I ended up falling in love with them in the end. Is it wrong that I wanted to be their cool friend who followed them home in a van back to Norwich?

Olafur Arnalds: was amazing obviously. Though they went for some of their slower, quieter songs which got dronwed out a bit by talking. I overheard someone describe them as a "poor man's godspeed without the good bits". Cretin.

Jeffrew Lewis: Perfect! Maybe my favourite of the night... in the process of downloading all the stuff I dont have.

Los Campesinos!: Good fun but seemed slightly shallow and a bit vaccous compared to JoFo. Shoulve seen Múm,

Four Tet: Great but my feet hurt too much to dance by then.

I want to live in Manchester :(
