Have any other big bands done a "Heima" ?

MirriLondon [Edit] [Delete] 13:27, 10 August '08

I watched the dvd last night.

It's pretty special. They toured 15 locations, some of which were in the middle of nowhere, tiny rural villages, in farmers fields and tea rooms etc, just to "give back" something to the people of Iceland as a thank you for their sustained support and to bring some free music to those in such rural location as to never really have the opportunity to experience many concerts. All of the gigs were free, and at substantial cost to the band I am guessing (as well as the intimate gigs, there was a huuuuuge one in Rejkivic (sp) the size of probably any Radiohead gig in a park).

I love them ten times more than before, if that's even possible.

So, yeah, has anyone else done similar?
