Last.fm claims controversial re-design a success

Last.fm has seen a 20% increase in unique users in the US, following a controversial re-design last month.

The site also saw a 36% increase in total minutes among US users, according to the latest comScore Media Metrix report.

Last.fm says that its redesign features “a clean and intuitive design that makes it easier for users to play, discover and share music online”.

However, it has not proved popular with all users: the majority of comments on the Last.fm blog and feedback forum are negative, while one Last.fm user has created an artist page on the site for “The Last.fm re-design fucking sucks”.
