What is Artrock?
What the hell is it?
After discussing this with a few friends of mine we came up with the suggestion that 'art-rock' is not so much to do with the style of music as much as the aesthetic appeal that is generated. This includes the FASHION aspects (uber-exuberant and/or colurful rags) as well as ATTITUDE (usually over confident, aloof, alot of talking) both on stage and in the media.
Are bands like Art Brut, Les Georges Leningrad, Maximo Park, Test Icicles, Ladyfuzz etc artrockers then?
Is art-rock all about PLAYFULNESS?
Am i talking SHIT?
