Music Social More…

so i registered for the unsignedAct thingummyjig

berksy [Edit] [Delete] 16:40, 26 August '08

I went through a whole range of emotions. I started out filling it in out of boredom, since i had nothing better to do with my evening and the unanswered question of "why not?". Then i carried on, ironically (for which I went through a breif period of self-hatred). And finally I finished off with a half-arsed attempt at humour and was left with apathy.

It's funny - i'm really not going to be that bothered if I don't get selected, which is 99.9999999% certain. If I got through to the next round, it'll be down to the judges thinking I'm good enough, and not because i have lots of friends who I've asked to vote for me (i don't, and I haven't). But even if I *do* get further through, ultimately, I'm bound to fail, because I'm not ambitious enough, or rather my ambitions do not match the model of what a recording contract with Universal might dictate.

Has anyone else signed up themselves or their bands to unsignedAct/mobileAct (whatever you want to call it)? Are you taking it seriously? Is it a bit of a joke for you? Or is your registration a result of a boring bank holiday evening, like myself?

Does anyone care? Unlikely.
