Following on from GalacticStar3ruption's thread, I'd agree that there are some fantastic bands around at the moment, especially those who are about to/have just released their first album, which in my opinion makes them all the more exciting. Anyway, who are your top 3 relative newcomers in the UK right now? (Give a little explanation as well just to make it more interesting). Mine are as follows:

1. Grammatics - Such epic pop music, beautiful vocals, and to be fair I'm a sucker for anything with a cello. Genuinely fantastic.

2. This Town Needs Guns - Cannot wait for this album, so technical yet still manage to flow so brilliantly.

3. Vessels - Haven't got hold of the album yet but after seeing these guys at Live At Leeds they're right up there with some of the best live performances I've ever seen. Staggering.

So yeah, despite my mess of superlatives, these are 3 bands that are currently making me happy about loving music. And that's great, right?
