When watching David Gilmour on 'Later...' I was reminded about an incredibly stupid comment I once heard someone make.

He said he didn't like Pink Floyd, not because of anything to do with their music, but purely because they were from middle class backgrounds.

Pink Floyd, Queen, Radiohead, even John bastarding Lennon for goodness' sake...these are just a few of the people who made/make quality music despite not originating from a rough council estate.

People who argue that the best music can only come from those who have nothing else to aim for in life are quite the dicks.
