Parents music....

Chav_core [Edit] [Delete] 13:05, 24 September '08

Whilst back at the family nest i was looking around in the attic and found a lot of my dads old vinyls and it got me thinking about how my parents music taste has influenced mine.

Being a rather old codger my Dads music taste consists of the usual 60's/70's rock eg Led Zep, Black Sabbath, Cream, The Eagles and Joe Walsh. However, he's also into things such as Steely Dan, Vashti Bunyan and Pentangle.

Bassically the point to all this is that i now listen to all these bands and they were the first bands i really got in to. They were my first exposure to guitar driven music, after that i went of into many different areas. Did anybody else have much the same experience and if not via what route did you get into music?
