I was in Fopp yesterday evening and they were playing an album by a Scott Walker, Leonard Cohen, Lee Hazlewood type crooner and one of the songs was a cover of Martha by Tom Waits. I liked all the songs of the lp I was hearing but didnt bother asking the staff who it was. I know Tim Buckley covered the song so it may have been that - any other know covers of Martha? As the production sounded fairly modern to me, but I guess it could've been the Tim Buckley version, I havnt listened to a great deal of his stuff as yet. Let me know yeah!
