You know Steve Gullick? That photographer who started 'Careless Talk Costs Lives' and 'Loose Lips Sink Ships'? His band, Tenebrous Liar, are pretty fucking awesome. They're off to support Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds in a couple of days' time. Imagine a little like Lift to Experience, with more noise, and more desperation. And you know what? You can see them tonight, Monday, at the Macbeth in Hoxton, supported by Smoke Fairies, doing their ethereal folky thing, and The Monroe Transfer, doing their string-heavy instrumentalism.
