In-ear monitoring advice please!

Ric_Flair [Edit] [Delete] 15:37, 25 November '08

Hi - I'm considering buying one of these:

as I can never hear myself singing properly on stage. Does anyone know anything about how these things work? Basically I'd just want to have my normal monitor in front of me with the rest of the band in, and then just my vocals in my earpiece. I'm guessing that this would just be plugged into one of the channels out like an extra monitor, but would this need an amplifier or would the signal from the desk be strong enough? Has anyone got any experience with this? Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks

Oh and if anyone could recommend some semi-decent in-ear headphones (around £50) that'd be great.
