If someone asks me what my favourite album of the year was I'd reply either 'Hairdryer Peace by The Hospitals' or 'Where you go I go too by Lindstrom'. Can't decide though.

I thought about putting 'Nah und Fern' by GAS in the list but seeing as it's a box set compiling the 4 GAS albums I thought against it, it's probably though the reissue of the year although those 23 Skidoo albums have just been reissued and looking very good indeed...

For me this year is when America definately got one over on the UK in terms of music, it kinda pains me to say it but it's true. There's labels like Siltbreeze which right now just seem to have a magic touch and everything they release is great.

Finally gig of the year would either be Harmonia at ATP vs Pitchfork or Sic Alps (second time around in Autumn) at Bardens.
