Well, obviously part of me is disappointed with the fact that the most conservative album on the shortlist won, and also by the fact that an officially sanctioned campaign tipped the votes on the very last day, but I’m also quite glad that the Guardian didn’t dismiss the results of the online poll and leave themselves open to charges of elitism and of the award being predetermined.

Oh well, we tried.
