Music Social More…

A backlash against backlashes!

sunbakedsnowcave [Edit] [Delete] 11:39, 19 December '08

You know what really grinds my gears?

When all we hear for a month or two on these boards is how great 'record x' is and then it goes quiet and then we get a month or two of decrying 'record x' for being utter bollocks.

Recent victims include:
'For Emma' by Bon Iver
'Nouns' by No Age
'Alopecia' by Why?

I'm fed up with it. I think it may be an intevitable by-product of the way music is viewed as more 'disposable' nowadays but I imagine it will have a really negative effect on bands/scenes whatever if they are trashed only a month or two after they catch on.

Who's with me? Who is prepared to stand up and say 'I loved Rolo Tomassi last year and I still bloody love them today!'
