is this a good thing? a lot of new stuff on there for £3, is it a way to boost chart positions? is it part of the reason that take that are close to beating the record for the shortest time in which to sell a million albums?

there isn't a great deal of good stuff on there for very cheap yet, although the newest tv on the radio and nick cave albums are £3 apiece, and the justice album is £2.98. does such a low price devalue the music?

i think its a step in the right direction, i still buy most of my music on cd, but quite like the idea of downloading a best of by a band i don't know much about as a precursor to checking out full albums.
