Guitar Solos (shredding/guitar neck centric)

lemonbrickcombo [Edit] [Delete] 23:32, 22 December '08

So right, I was listening to Chrome the other day, and every since I first heard them I've been thinking "dang, that sweetass mofo Helios Creed plays his guitar all backwards. That jive ass sucker must be playing his guitar upside down or something".

So I got to wondering if his solos are all played on some sort of weird scale. Doesn't seem so. But listen to any of the solos on a chrome song, and it definitely sounds the wrong way round. So is he playing his solos unconventionally, by going from high to low, and from shredding to chords slamming, rather than vice versa or something?

It seems guitar solos almost always go 'up' the guitar neck and back down, but Helios seems to mainly play from the top down. Check it:

Am I right? Or am I chatting shite?
