i'm still really upset that they're tearing down the astoria for the crossrail (and the three wheatsheeves in London Bridge, but I digress).

Off the top of my head, I can only think of two acts I saw there; Aphex Twin and Cake, but they were both cracking gigs.

I think it's a massive shame that this venue with a ridiculous amount of history is being torn down despite the protests and the petitions.

Anyway, what's everyone elses memories of the Astoria?

Also, fucking Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly are playing on the last night to rub salt into the wounds.
