Sorry if this is about five years late and everyone's already discussed this ad nauseam (I seem to have grown rather out of touch with the indie rock world) but...

Someone just mentioned Present The Paisley Reich by these guys in another thread while talking about bad production and I typed them into Spotify. I've heard the name and praise before but never actually looked them up.

The production is actually chair-fall-inducingly hilarious. The songs seem to be completely brilliant but there's no low end anywhere so I can't hear any bass or drums. It's like someone recorded a long lost Guided by Voices or Eric's Trip album and then bounced it several times from one cassette to another with the bass knob turned all the way down and the treble all the way up.

I think I've possibly just found my favourite band but hate it at the same time.

Thoughts? Are they amazing live?
