we've had this frontpage for a while now and I don't think it works as well as it could. we've had a few complaints (hi Brainlove!) and before implementing what I think makes the most sense, was wondering what you all felt would be preferable? obviously older frontpages you've got used to will make more sense but this is as much about casual readers, as it is diehards.

still hoping we can get a greatest hits and recent recommended reads added to all pages of the site soon :)
