PA advice please

m-dizzle [Edit] [Delete] 13:12, 27 January '09

hi there

my band mate and i are planning on investing in our own PA system to allow us to play more house shows, book our own gigs, use it for parties...etc... Currently we've always blagged house gigs with a Wharfedale Powered Speaker, but it's never quite cut it.

Essentially, I was wondering if someone could tell me whether this system would be capable/loud/good enough to handle our requirements. I can't imagine us ever needing it to be played to more than 150-200 people.

2 x Tops - Mackie C300Z - 300w Continuous - 750w Peak

1 x Active Sub - DB Sub 12

Amp - 2400w (2 x 1200w) - T Amp TA2400

Mixer - Yamaha MG166CX 16 Channel Mixer

All in all that comes to just over £1100, which is just about our budget.

Let me know your thoughts, thanks to anyone who reads!
