It's not how mediocre and characterless they are.

But how people routinely label them 'great pop'.

Does anything they have ever done really .. REALLY hold a candle to 'Off The Wall', 'Thriller', 'The Lexicon Of Love', '1999'?

I can totally accept that they have a one or two hummable tunes and are occasionally diverting but great pop? Do me a favour
