electronic equipment

lethal_drizzle [Edit] [Delete] 14:33, 18 February '09

hi ho. i wasn't really sure if this was the relevant board, but still...

basically i've been toying with the idea of trying to do some rudimentary electronic drumbeats for a band, and i was wondering if you wise folk could recommend what equipment is best/desirable?

it doesn't have to be anything too complex (or expensive...) here, it's mainly inspired by stuff like cftpa's 'pocket symphonies...' or mt eerie's '11 old songs of mount eerie'. that kinda thing. i'm aware of stuff like ableton, but was wondering if anyone prefers actual equipment, or the other way round. basically any advice is mucho appreciado.
