I'm not entirely sure I agree. I'm a guy who grew up on CDs rather than tape or vinyl, but I record all music files as mid-high bitrate mp3s and I can't tell that much difference between that and a CD. I' say the 'compression' issue they mention is more to do with how bands record and produce these days- the first time I heard a Fugazi record it sounded so odd in comparison to all the newer stuff I'd been hearing.

Thoughts? Opinions?
