I mention this band every so often, but they deserve more recognition.

A few years ago they released 'The Work That Transforms God', which is one of the most downright creepy, fucked up pieces of music I've ever heard, but it was also the album that made me realise black metal wasn't just for greasy, angry teenagers. Their new album 'Memoria Vestuta II: Dialogue With the Stars' appears on the first couple of listens to be another stone cold classic, and also a lot more melodic and accessible than the stuff here:
