Ra Ra Riot - The Rhumb Line

FrancescoNoir [Edit] [Delete] 23:35, 31 March '09

Possibly the biggest 'grower' of an album that I have ever given many spins to. It's a beautiful album with veiled depth. At first it sounds pretty vanilla; the dynamics are pretty flat, the tone sombre, and the instrumentalism dour. But with every play it grows and grows and the emotional depth reveals itself, especially when the lyrics become distict. I relate to the lyrics very much.

I see many parallels with The National, and like The National I hope they grow with every album.

Thoughts?
