Does anyone else have this affliction?

I have no idea, when I put on one of the 6 studio albums or 3 best ofs I own by them, what decade the record hailed from? Or if one is better than the other? Or if the music has progressed? Or which order they might have come out in (if I don't look at the date on the sleeve).

I still love them, but I have don't have this issue with any other band and wondered if anyone else found them totally unfathomable...
