I like saying the full name, but there is this one band that I simply have to shorten. Upcdowncleftcrightcabc+start - there is NO WAY I'm saying or even typing that (this is obviously one exception, otherwise the thread wouldn't make any sense). I just say Upcdownc, that seems to the standard abbreviation. Really, really good band by the way.

How about you? Do you usually shorten names whenever you can, or is it only when they're a pain in the rear end to say in full?
