I've been really getting into A Place To Bury Strangers for the past week now, but I'm also aware that Oliver Ackermann was part of a band called Skywave before he moved to NY. I've searched for any material by them but most of their output must have been so limited that there's nothing available. The only thing I can find is an album called 'Synthstatic' which received a pretty favourable review from Pitchfork (7.5).

Now the album must be rare because it's going for over thirty quid on Amazon and I was wondering whether it's worth buying it. Does anyone have the album or have they heard it? What's the impression? Is it poorer material than the stuff APTBS have created?
