in london in august time. maybe even the reading weekend. i'm imagining something that starts in the afternoon with between 6 and ten bands / acts. in aid of charity.

firstly, is this a good idea?

if it is a good idea, who should i try to get to play it? i'd obviously need at least 2 or 3 bands who could draw a decent crowd (how big depends on the venue, which i also need ideas for).

the aim is to put on a cost effective event by blagging the venue and services of bands and people to help on the day for as little outlay as possible so that we can get a good crowd in, not have to charge too much for admission and have as much of the money go to the chosen charity as posssible.

suggestions, criticisms, offers of help, offers to shut me up are all welcome...
