At the Windmill, Brixton...

EDIE SEDGWICK
Edie Sedgwick is the transgendered reincarnation of a vacuous Andy Warhol Superstar who died of a barbiturate overdose in 1971. A visionary artist who lay dormant in her host organism until his first epileptic seizure in 2001, Edie appeared at the dawn of the New Millenium to save the world by singing, writing, and producing video about celebrities. Armed with a video projector and backing band, Edie travels through the dark night presenting auditory and visual art that honors the likes of Sissy Spacek, Martin Sheen, and other celebrity co-conspirators.

Edie Sedgwick also happens to be Justin Moyer (El Guapo, Antelope) and his band and their new album 'Things are Getting Sinister and Sinisterer' is out on the mighty Dischord Records.

85 BEARS (London)
Formed in the autumn of 2007, the three young men of 85 Bears have been busy experimenting in the railway arches of East London. An instrumental band creating songs hanging tentatively on delicately looped guitar riffs, thundering bass lines, and breathtaking drum patterns. Inhale and the heart stops as the music feigns fragility, exhale and the sky come crashing down around you.
In the Bears’ short existence as a band, they’ve already shared stages with critically acclaimed avant-garde art rockers, Enablers, and ex-Breather Resist men, Young Widows. After this gig the band head to Scotland where they'll be playing this year's Hinterland Festival with the likes of The Fall, Sons &
Daughters, Metronomy and Jeffrey Lewis

GIANT PAW (London)
'After littering the stage with terrifying monster masks they proceed to plough a musical furrow somewhere between early eighties no-wave and ninties rave (Neu Order anyone?). the results are literally astounding.' Channel 4.com
'it’s the album’s mix of the sweetly trippy, the malevolently out-there and the plain groovy that appeals.' - Sharon O’Connell, Uncut
