Eccentric Labels - help please

guyofthelondonzoo [Edit] [Delete] 17:45, 5 May '09

This may sound like a JAG however I shall endeavour to keep my bands identity out of this but I need some advice.

We've just recorded a very strange song which we're looking to release as a single. It's an eccentric seven and a half minute song about cycling which begins as a straight indie-pop song before shifting genres into retro style hip-hop into more beastie boys sabotage territory, momentarily visiting ballad-town before finishing with a sort of disco stomp type outro. The rapping is essentially white middle class but, I feel, does not treat this as a novelty through being empassioned about the subject matter.

It's not really twee as such despite the subject matter as we have taken pains to ensure it is as slamming as possible.

Any label suggestions for such a beast? I think the label would have to be known for eccentric output for them consider it. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance, Matt
