digital camera suggestions (for capturing live shows)

silent88 [Edit] [Delete] 20:31, 11 May '09

hiya.. I know some people find it annoying when others do it (well, I try to do it as discreetly as possible), but nevertheless I'm looking for some suggestion/feedback on the digital (non-professional) cameras suited for capturing live shows..

I'm using Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1, it has a fantastic 10x optical zoom (it's rare for these type, i.e. low-end, of cameras), but audio capture is flawed.. its quality depends on the type of venue, type of music (loud/clear/noise-y) and some other factors, I've noticed.. here're some examples:

Nico Muhly @ Union Chapel

Laura Marling @ Bristol

65 Days Of Static @ Dingwalls

any suggestions (youtube links preferred with the actual footage)
