So Elbow picked up two Ivor Novello awards last night...as the BBC put it....

The group, who claimed last year's Mercury Prize, triumphed with One Day Like This while Grounds For Divorce won best contemporary song

Good on them etc for finally getting the acclaim and making it big, but it feels odd that suddenly this year the industry has decided to get behind them in such a big way and boost them up into the top tier of British acts after so many years of underated brilliance...what could be the reason!?
