so at the end of the decade looking back...

i know the kind of music i mean isn't particularly popular on these boards. but if you were to make a playlist of roughly mid-2000's 'angular' music what tracks would you nominate? either obvious or preferably more obscure. i'm not sure if it's a fair term but it was the one that was banded about at the time - i mean (fast, inter-cutting, usually british) guitar music along the lines of

maccabees - x-ray, bloc party - helicopter, burningpilot can't kid a kidder, the chalets - nightrocker, futureheads - meantime
