It seems like nowadays people are much less dedicated to labels than they once were, rarely finding a label and buying all the releases that come from it. Does this have to do with people simply not caring as much about record labels, or does it have to do with labels, to make more of a profit, trying to find so many acts of different style that the label doesn't have a "label" sound anymore. Think just 20 years ago, Kurt Cobain was (or would seen be) walking around bearing the K Records kitty on his arm.
