I was listening to a R.E.M. record on holiday and I remembered that, when I first bought it, it had two wonderful sides. Both told a different story, had ebbs and flows and felt like a planned journey. But when listening to it on CD, it seemed to really miss that break in the middle where normally you'd turn over.

Anyone else ever noticed this about a record they love?
